I'm sure he admires America - the country which rewarded him for work and the sacrifice which he made. He is not tactful, he's even inconsiderate guy with very developed sense of humor. He has no half tones and half-truth. Therefore his responses seemed to offend you. For Russian-speaking female audience much more important his impressions since he is Russian. As I see the situation Dennis caused a keen interest to your great country. Denis lived in the USA not for long. It was difficult for him, but he got on feet really supporting others who asked for help. Not everyone can act that way. I believe Dennis is decent and reliable person with great heart. That is the most important. The same to you and to Tim, as far as I know both of you are friendly, open people. I would prefer you and Dennis speak common language because it consolidates even different people. Dennis will change his impressions and emotions over time, but today they are as they are.
